Lee Hock Moh (b. 1947) is a renowned second-generation Singaporean ink artist specializing in the traditional flower-and-bird genre and gongbi styles (meticulous brush techniques). This work is representative of Lee's recent gongbi-style landscape painting. The artist's pictorial reconstruction combines his memories, reimagination and realistic depiction of Pulau Ubin island to form a harmonious and idyllic imagery.
