This report was prepared by a Sime Road Commission after the Japanese surrender (before the return of the British). The Commission was set up in order to document the events of the Double Tenth incident for post-war purposes. The report details the brutalities and conditions suffered during the incident, which began on 10 October 1943. During the incident, 57 internees in Changi were detained on suspicion of having been involved with the Allied Operation Jaywick. 12 of these internees died.The report was prepared by Sydney King and Wilfred Blythe of the Malayan Civil Service, and Dr Norman Alexander of Raffles College, all of whom had been interned in Changi and Sime Road.
