This is an example of kewatek méan (women's red cloth), characterised by narrow ikat bands bordered by wider bands on each end, coloured in shades of red. It was possibly used in bridal exchange. The design on this example has been inspired by motifs from Indian trade cloth. Seen here are heart-shaped motifs against the red backdrop. The top and bottom banners contain the eight-sided star or flower derived from the chhabadi bhat (basket) motif.
