This image shows the iconic clock of the Tanjong Pagar railway station. The station was known for its Art Deco and neo-classical architectural styles. Designed by Swan and Maclaren, the entrance of the station is sheltered by an arched portico. This image is part of the "Tracking Memories" collection by the late Mr Kwek Leng Joo. The collection captures different aspects of the Malayan Railway story in Singapore, documenting an important chapter in the history of Singapore. Some of the works were exhibited at the National Museum of Singapore in 2011, together with the watercolour paintings of Mr Ong Kim Seng.
