This pair of spectacles belonged to Han Suyin, she would put on her spectacles to read or write at home. This pair of spectacles was bought by her daughter Chew Hui Im who was adopted in Singapore in 1953. Han also paid for Chew’s school fees in Stamford Girls’ Primary School. Han also adopted Tang Yongmei in China in 1940. Currently Mdm Chew is a retired teacher.
