This image of Veerabhadra holding weapons - the bow and arrow, a sword, trident and a shield shows the enraged form of Shiva. It is a folk representation of the four-armed crowned Veerabhadra. He is shown here standing under a makara torana (crocodile arch) surmounted by a kirtimukha (face of glory). Plaques such as this were ritually worshipped in temples of Karnataka dedicated to Shiva worship.
