Built to serve Yishun’s growing Muslim population in the 1980s, Masjid Darul Makmur traces its origins to a meeting organised by Yishun’s Muslim community with the support of MUIS (Islamic Religious Council of Singapore) on 29 August 1982, which agreed to form a building committee for a mosque in the then-new HDB estate.
