Description

Every neighbourhood holds secrets — and some are waiting to be found.

The Lost Legacy of Tiong Bahru is a one-hour theatrical walking experience that invites you to step into a living story. Follow the trail of Leanne, who inherits a lacquer box from her late grandmother, Maggie Su — the legendary 1940s cabaret star — and finds herself drawn into a web of half-truths and hidden histories woven into the fabric of this iconic neighbourhood.

As you wander through Tiong Bahru's storied streets, live actors bring the narrative to life around you, turning the neighbourhood itself into your stage. Decipher the clues Maggie Su left behind, and uncover the secrets that have long been buried. To open the box is to follow the trail. To follow the trail is to become part of the story. And you are the key.

Whether you are a history enthusiast, a curious explorer, or part of a family looking for an engaging and immersive outing, The Lost Legacy of Tiong Bahru offers something for everyone.

This programme is part of HAN@TiongBahru, presented by Tiong Bahru Community Centre and supported by the National Heritage Board, as part of Heritage Activation Nodes.
