About “Finding Uncle Who?” Hybrid Trail

You're moving into your uncle's old place in Clementi, and whilst clearing out his house, you stumble upon a box of his old personal effects that you can't help but peek at. Uncle Weng Fatt was always elusive, telling you the wildest stories during the rare times he visited. Now, wondering if you'll get to uncover even more of his tales with your own hands, you succumb to curiosity and take it upon yourself to discover the life he's led. Armed with yellowed letters and faded photographs from his mysterious box, you'll navigate through Clementi's streets, making choices that determine what secrets you uncover about your family's past and the neighbourhood's hidden stories.

Embark on an interactive detective adventure through the heart of Clementi as you uncover the mysterious story of Uncle Weng Fatt. Developed by The National Heritage Board's Youth Panel, this innovative hybrid trail combines digital storytelling with physical exploration, inviting participants to piece together family history whilst discovering the rich heritage of Clementi.

This choose-your-own-adventure digital narrative offers multiple story paths as you physically explore significant Clementi locations and landmarks. Through interactive discovery of local history and community stories, participants experience immersive storytelling that connects personal family narratives with neighbourhood heritage. The self-guided format allows you to explore at your own pace whilst uncovering the secrets hidden within familiar streets.
