This document was drafted, likely by a Feng Shui master or temple fortune teller, to calculate an auspicious date for the wedding of a couple who married during the Japanese Occupation. This practice, known as 看日子, selects the dates for the wedding, betrothal, and installation of the bridal bed. The date was calculated based on the compatibility of the wife and husband-to-be's respective birth dates and times of birth.
