This state lectern was used by Mr Goh Chok Tong during his tenure as First Deputy Prime Minister, Prime Minister, and Senior Minister from the 1990s to early 2000s. The lectern was used by Mr Goh to deliver speeches including the annual National Day Rally as well as for other official events. Among other events, it was used by Mr Goh at his swearing-in ceremony as Prime Minister on 28 November 1990.
