This photograph shows past members of the Sikh Police Contingent with Sikh temple priests in the courtyard of a café, on the occasion of a farewell party for one of the attendees. Mr Lall Singh, a Police Constable who served with the Sikh Contingent in the Straits Settlements Police from 1931 to 1946, when the Sikh Contingent was disbanded, is pictured here in the top row (second from right) next to his son, Mr Atma Singh (top row, right).
