Lockets containing sentimental mementos such as miniature portraits have been popular in Europe for centuries. This necklace with locket was used to carry the photos of Elizabeth “Betty” Boey (1919-2005) and her first husband Ong Tiang Seng (?-1942), son of Ong Peng Hock (1889-1968) and grandson of Ong Sam Leong (1857-1918).
