Tanjong Pagar Plaza is a mixed-use podium and tower structure completed over two phases (in 1977 and 1980), as part of the urban renewal project and plans to inject life into the city area after working hours by building residences there. The structure consists of a two-storey podium block that houses a market and hawker centre, and seven high-rise residential blocks.
