Lady Sophia Raffles was the wife of Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, who established a British East India Company trading factory in Singapore in 1819. This book was from Lady Raffles’ collection and was written by L. Bonnet, who she had first met in Geneva and later in London where he was Pasteur of the French Protestants.
