This chart of the northwestern coast of Java was published by Laurie & Whittle. It covers Bantam Bay and Hill and the coast of Batavia, a region contested between the Dutch and British East India Companies, with the British East India Company (EIC) setting up a trading factory at Bantam and the Dutch East India Company (VOC) at Batavia.
