View of Light Street

Light Street is home to one of the oldest schools and convents in Malaysia, the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus, or Town Convent. More popularly known as Convent Light Street, the school functioned as an orphanage during the early years. It was also a boarding school, taking in students from the upper stratum of society, including daughters of royal families.
