Saloma was born in 1935 in Singapore. She started out as a singer and later tried her hand at acting, where she starred in films such as ‘Seniman Bujang Lapok’ (1961) and ‘Keluarga 69’ (1967). Her sister is film actress Mariani, while her husband was film legend P. Ramlee. Saloma passed away in April 1983.
