Sarimah was born in 1942 in Pahang, Malaysia. She made her acting debut in the Shaw Brothers film, ‘Ali Baba Bujang Lapok’ (1961), which started her successful acting career. She also starred in other notable films such as ‘Ibu Mertuaku’ (1962) and ‘Raja Bersiong’ (1963).
