This is a confectionary mould used to make dragon-phoenix biscuits at Sin Tong Name Confectionary. On the mould, their brand ‘Xin Dong Nan’ (新东南) is written at the center. The dragon-phoenix biscuits, also known as Long Feng Bing (龙凤饼), are gifted as dowry gifts during weddings. Sin Tong Nam was first established during the 1970s at Zion Road before moving to Tiong Bahru. The confectionary was known for producing Cantonese-style Chinese pastries such as mung bean biscuits, phoenix biscuits (Ji Zai Bing鸡仔饼), and assorted biscuits (Gong Zai Bing 公仔饼).
