This set of two stamps produced in 2015 features watercolour paintings of the Yale-NUS College campus and its Margaritaria indica Heritage Tree by Yap Zhi Wen from the Class of 2017. These stamps were released to commemorate both SG50 and the inauguration of the Yale-NUS College campus. The inauguration was a significant moment in the college’s history, with its new campus equipped with facilities to support its unique curriculum. The campus was also the first educational institute to be awarded the Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework (LEAF) certification given out by the National Parks Board (NParks) in 2014.On top of the green spaces in the campus, there are also six mature trees that were conserved including the only known example of Margaritaria indica in Singapore, featured in the stamp.
