Gift of Christina Chow and family
Chow Ah Ming was born in Perak, Malaya, in 1936 and came to Singapore from Ipoh in the 1950s. In 1963, he registered as a Singapore citizen under the Citizenship Ordinance of 1957 and was issued this certificate of registration. The Ordinance granted citizenship by registration to Malayan-born applicants who had lived in Singapore for at least two years.
