This painting by Boo Sze Yang depicts the crowds of Singaporeans who, braving the heavy rain, lined the streets along the route of founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew's State Funeral Procession held on 29 March 2015. The 15.4km route ran from Parliament House, where Mr Lee had been lying in State, to the National University of Singapore's University Cultural Centre, where the State Funeral Service was held. In the days before the procession and State Funeral, 454,700 people paid their respects at Parliament House, and another 1.2 million visited 18 condolences centres around the island.
