This booklet was issued to the telephone operators working in the Oriental Telephone & Electric Company (OTEC). It contains the rules and regulations that OTEC’s telephone operators had to abide by, such as work etiquette and important dos and don’ts. This booklet belonged to Mrs Theresa Maureen Pereira, who joined OTEC as a telephone operator in 1953 and was eventually promoted to a supervisor before leaving the company in 1959.
