This is a teaching certificate belonging to Mr Thang Sher Ching (唐学贤 Tang Xue Xian), who came to Singapore in the early 1940s and taught at Kheng Cheng School (擎青小学 Qing Qing Xiao Xue) between 1940s to around early 1960s, primarily teaching Chinese language and Chinese literature. According to the certificate, Mr Thang was certified as a primary school teacher by the Guangdong Provincial Government’s Department of Education (Guangdong Sheng Zhengfu Jiaoyu Ting广东省政府教育厅) in September 1933.
