This document is the official charter for Thong Chai Medical Institution written during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore. Thong Chai is a charity hospital which provides free Chinese medical treatment to all individuals regardless of race, religion, and nationality. This updated Charter allowed the hospital to continue its operations under Japanese rule.
