Wooyoungmi is a South Korean menswear clothing brand launched by the designer Woo Youngmi in 2002, which expanded over the next two decades to have over 40 stores across Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. Wooyoungmi’s style is experimental and classic, and its pieces display a sharp attention to detail.This jacket was donated by Mervin Wee, the Managing Director of the beauty and wellness empire, Jean Yip Group. The first Jean Yip Hair Studio was opened in 1982 at Katong Plaza. Since then, the Jean Yip brand has expanded to over 80 outlets across Singapore and Malaysia. Wee purchased this piece from Singapore's luxury fashion retailer, Club 21, as he appreciated WooYoungmi's refreshing and unique designs and wanted to support Asian designers.
