The Singapore Kindness Movement was launched in 1997 in response to then Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong’s call for Singapore to be a gracious society by the 21st century. This trophy was presented by the Singapore Kindness Movement to Goh Chok Tong in 2004, in appreciation of his patronage of the movement from 1997-2004.
