This photograph depicts officers and cadets of the Royal Malayan Navy (RMN) in a march ceremony at KD Malaya in Woodlands, Singapore. The KD Malaya was initially established in 1949 as a naval base with the setting up of the RMN predecessor, the Malayan Naval Force. KD Malaya would continue to serve as the RMN headquarters even after separation until the relocation to Lumut, Perak, in 1994.
