The KD Mahamiru was a ship with the Royal Malayan Navy's 25th minesweeper squadron. Originally named the HMS Darlaston, the Mahamiru was officially transferred to the Royal Malayan Navy (later the Royal Malaysian Navy) in 1960. This photograph belonged to Choong Kim Siew, who served aboard the Mahamiru.
