This Sony BM-88 Dictator/Transcriber was used by Mr Lee Kuan Yew from 1995 to 2010. The dictator/transcriber set was used to record his notes and messages for transcription and follow-up action by his secretary. He had one dictator/transcriber set in his office, and one at home.Prior to this desktop dictator/transcriber, Mr Lee used a handheld portable tape-recorder for many years to record his notes and messages. With this desktop set, the portable recorder was mainly used for his overseas travels.
