Block 82 Commonwealth Close, built 1964

Block 82 is one of three blocks colloquially called Chup Lak Lau (‘16 floors’ in Hokkien), due to their existence as the only 16-storey blocks in the Commonwealth Close estate. The lease for these blocks, which began in 1967, makes them the oldest existing leaseheld HDB flats.
