This set of three wedding albums documents the wedding of Gauhar Taj Begum to Mirza Ghulam Hussain Namazie, in Bangalore, India. The photographs document the bride’s dower in detail, the guests, contemporary fashions and wedding rituals. The wedding was reported in Singapore’s newspapers, including the Morning Tribune, Malaya Tribune and the Singapore Free Press and Mercantile Advertiser, due to the prominence of the Namazie family here.
