This message from the Australian Red Cross Society informs Mrs. F. G. Duncan, the wife of Pte. John Sharp Duncan (WX8584) of the 2/4th Machine Gun Battalion AIF, that her husband's name was heard to have been broadcast over the Japanese Radio. The broadcasting of names of POWs as well as messages is common practice during wartime.
