Self References and Map of Singapore are collage works that demonstrate the artist using scrap materials and tourist paraphernalia to create snapshots, albeit of a non-image-reliant nature. These works were part of a larger “Self-series” which was made from 1988-1991, and first exhibited at the British Council in Bangkok in 1990.
