The Rafflesia patma is a parasitic plant species from the genus Rafflesia, named after Sir Stamford Raffles. In an expedition in Sumatra in 1821, Raffles together with the botanist Joseph came across the flower now known as the Rafflesia arnoldii. This coloured print of the Rafflesia patma was reproduced in horticultural journal Flore des serres et des Jardins de l'Europe, founded by the Belgian horticulturalist Louis Benoit van Houtte.
