Possibly left unfinished during the early stages of the dyeing process, this fragment has been decorated with an intricate assortment of plant motifs including ferns, corn and floral shapes. These are interspersed with the kawung fruit and possibly a pitcher plant motif. Plant motifs have commonly been used to invoke abundance and fertility due to their agricultural nature but are also favoured as decorative devices devoid of deeper meaning.
