This cotton cloth was originally a ceremonial tubeskirt made of two woven panels sewn together and fashioned into a tubular sarong. It is finely embroidered with gold wrapped thread and further embellished with small mirror-like pieces of mica. The applique text spells out “Ini Lah Tapis Oros batin”, which is repeated twice. Along the bottom in larger text is “Bingagedakrato T.R. Bangi oros batin”. It is unclear at this point what this referred to.
