Nintendo 1983 Family Computer (Famicom) game console and tennis game

The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) (also known as Famicom) is an 8-bit home video game console that was developed and manufactured by Nintendo in 1983. It was the best-selling gaming console by the end of 1984. Arcade games were developed and launched to be used with Famicom, including Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. and Popeye, and later games such as Baseball, Pinball, Soccer and Tennis. In 1985, Nintendo came to Singapore and soon dominated the Singapore market with its 8-bit game console, Famicom, but only well-to-do families could afford to buy an NES/Famicom for their children. This meant that friends and classmates would gather together and play video games in the house of someone who owned one. This Famicom console with the Tennis game thus played a significant role in the gaming scene of Singapore during the 1980s.
