The label on the packets read, ‘Warranted newly invented gazelle eyed sharps no.10’. In the centre of the label is a green circle within which a white gazelle figure is depicted. Further inscriptions ‘Imported d’Allemagne’ and ‘Made in Germany’ can be found along the border. Each packet contains fine needles. Such needles were sometimes called jarom tambung in reference to the metal containers some beading needles came in.The acquisition contains numerous examples of templates, patterns and tools embroiderers used in the making of beadwork pieces.
