Ledger documenting details of goods imported (Japanese Occupation)

This square ledger could have belonged to a traditional Chinese provision shop that was still doing business during the Japanese Occupation. It documents details of types, quantities and prices of goods imported from 3rd July 1943 onwards. Soya beans and rice from Yangon were among the goods recorded. All entries were written in cursive Chinese script.
