This is the programme for the Commonwealth Festival of the Arts in 1986. This was the first international Arts festival that Emily of Emerald Hill was performed at; making this the first Singapore based and Singapore written play to be performed overseas.Stella Kon is an award-winning Singapore playwright whose most important work was the 1983 one-woman play, Emily of Emerald Hill. She is also a descendent of two prominent Peranakan philanthropists, Tan Tock Seng and Dr Lim Boon Keng.
