Chua Tiag Ming (T. M. Chua) was a photographer involved in the salon photography movement in Singapore in the 1960s and 1970s. During this period, he documented various aspects of labour in Singapore, especially the vanishing trades. The lines formed by the noodles in this wide angle photograph constitute the subject of Chua’s composition.
