'Chiselling' by Chua Tiag Ming

Chua Tiag Ming (T. M. Chua) was a photographer involved in the salon photography movement in Singapore in the 1960s and 1970s. During this period, he documented various aspects of labour in Singapore, especially the vanishing trades. This photograph of the chiselling work on a tall brick wall emphasizes both the enormity of the task and the extent of cooperation involved.
