Stamp set titled ‘Nature Series – Shores and Reefs’

This is a set of stamps featuring the marine species living in coral reefs located around Singapore’s southern islands. The close interdependent relationship between the inhabitants of the coral reefs is clearly illustrated – for example, the anemone fish lives within the anemone’s tentacles for protection and, in turn, wards off its host’s predators. This stamp set is part of a programme to promote greater awareness, appreciation and protection of Singapore’s natural heritage.
