Sun Yat Sen (1866-1925) was a respected Chinese political leader who is famous for his ‘Three Principles of the People’ ideology. He was the president of the Republic of China and co-founder of the Kuomintang party. He also played a significant role in the eventual collapse of the Qing Dynasty following an uprising in China in October 1911. Sun died of liver cancer in Beijing.
