This round bowl with tall sides is beautifully crafted with fine bamboo strips covered in layers on lacquer. The bowl is decorated with fine 'yun' (incised) work in yellow, vermillion and black. Yun work objects from Bagan area typically take the form of covered boxes rather than bowls.
