This is a letter from the Alumni Association of King Edward VII College of Medicine to its members, inviting them to attend the Foundation Day of the University of Malaya on 8 October 1949, held in the Oei Tiong Ham Hall on the premises of the former Raffles College at Bukit Timah. The King Edward VII College of Medicine was established in 1905, while Raffles College was founded in 1929. It was later decided that the two colleges should merge to form the University of Malaya in 1949.
