Orange icebox

This portable icebox resembles the spherical televisions and lamps that were designed in an era of space age travel, marked by the first moon landing in 1969. Middle-class Singaporeans preferred to purchase the spherical icebox, which was a handy utensil for holding ice cubes during parties. Orange was the colour of choice for almost all household items produced in the 1960s.
