The entry permit of the Hung Society is part of the secret society paraphernalia found in the William Stirling Collection; William George Stirling was the Assistant Protector of Chinese in Singapore from 1921 to 1931. It was compulsory for the owner of the permit to attend a particular activity, although the nature of activities that required the use of such permits remains unknown.
